Origin and properties of the ingredients

Soap, sugar tenside and fatty alcohol sulphate complement and strengthen each other in this liquid detergent. For the soap, rapeseed oil/sunflower oil from controlled organic cultivation is saponified in a special saponification process with the help of caustic potash without external heat. Soap, as a washing-active substance, uniquely combines all the properties of wetting, dissolving and carrying dirt that are necessary for the washing process. In this effect, the soap is strengthened by sugar tenside and fatty alcohol sulphate, which are obtained from the purely plant-based raw materials sugar, starch and coconut oil through chemical reactions with the help of acids. At the same time, this combination eliminates the disadvantage of soap, namely the formation of lime soap, which can settle on the laundry if the softener dosage is inaccurate. The alcohol, which is obtained by fermenting vegetable starch, serves to keep the detergent liquid and thus enables a high concentration of detergent substance. Sulfated castor oil, also known as Turkish red oil, is obtained by reacting the oil with sulfuric acid. It increases the fat-dissolving power of the detergent.

Technical specifications

Density: (20 °C), approx. 1.063 / cm³

pH value: (20 °C), (5 g / l H₂O) approx. 8.5-9.5

At temperatures below 10-15 °C, the product changes and becomes somewhat firmer and cloudy, which disappears again when it is warm, if necessary by gently shaking it.

product feature

The special, energy-saving Sonett method of saponification without adding energy and the use of oils and essential oils 100% from controlled organic cultivation are essential quality features of the Color detergent.

By using a combination of citrates and soap, no extra softener is required for all water hardness levels.

scope of application

For all washable colorful textiles made of cotton, linen, hemp, microfibers such as fleece, softshell, gore-tex and mixed fabrics from 20-60 °C.

Biodegradation

Soap made from vegetable oils has the special feature compared to all other washing-active substances that immediately after use it combines with the lime that is always present in the waste water to form lime soap and thus neutralizes its surface-active effect on aquatic life (primary degradation).

The lime soap is then quickly 100% broken down by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water (secondary breakdown).

During the manufacturing process of sugar surfactants, coconut fatty alcohol sulfate and sulfated castor oil, starch, sugar and fat are removed from the vegetable raw materials, but their natural structure is completely retained. It is therefore relatively easy for the microorganisms to completely break down these surfactants by 100%. According to the OECD, soap, sugar surfactants, coconut fatty alcohol sulfate and sulfated castor oil are considered to be easily biodegradable.
